
Iris Gajic-Pavlica
Iris Gajic-Pavlica was called to the Bar in 2019 and is one of few Counsel at the private bar experienced in both prosecuting and defending applications for child protection orders.
​
Whilst having a broad litigation practice, Iris primarily practices in family and guardianship (parenting and property), child protection, domestic violence, human rights and administrative law.
Since 2013, Iris has worked as a government lawyer and administrative decision-maker, appearing before specialist courts and tribunals and providing legal and policy advice across a range of child protection, family and guardianship, mental health and disability related matters.

Most recently prior to coming to the private bar, Iris worked as a senior lawyer for the Office of the Director of Child Protection Litigation, litigating applications for child protection orders on behalf of the State of Queensland.
​
Iris’ background and skillset includes working with clients from marginalised backgrounds and those suffering from impaired capacity.
Iris also speaks Serbian fluently.
